Do I have to pay to use the Streetdata service?      (17 Dec 2004)

Streetdata's SMS gateway services are 100% user-supported. However, as we do not want to have our customers pay upfront for a service they may not meet their needs, we introduce our service by means of a limited time/value evaluation period. There is no charge for sampling Streetdata and there will be no questions asked if you decide not to proceed with opening an account.

The SMS to email service, however, is offered by Streetdata for FREE and does not even require registration. Just read the instructions, configure your phone and you can start sending!

You call it a free trial and ask me for a credit card number. Why is that?      (05 Oct 2000)

To be our customer, you need to meet certain minimal requirements: you must be a real person who has an address and you must have the capacity to pay Streetdata if you decide to use this service once your trial has finished. Investigating your compliance to these requirements would take us a lot of effort and your credit card number is a simple alternative to this. It is evidence to Streetdata that a trusted third party has already investigated your compliance to the above requirements.

What if I don't have a credit card?      (17 Dec 2004)

We would be pleased to discuss with you alternate payment options. Please contact us at inquiries@streetdata.com.au and a sales rep will give you all the details.

Why would I choose to pay for your services when other Internet sites offer such services for free?      (17 Dec 2004)

Other sites are supported by sponsors that pay for having the site solicit advertising to the site's customers or even their messaging destinations. Streetdata Messaging is fully supported by its users, so it will not waste the customers' bandwidth with ads of any kind nor will Streetdata solicit ads to your mobile phones or your client's phones. In addition, Streetdata guarantees the confidentiality of all the data that you submit during your registration process or while using the service (see the Streetdata Privacy Policy statement).

Am I charged account-keeping fees, access fees, monthly subscriptions or flagfalls?      (17 Dec 2004)
