You will need an account with Streetdata and your own e-mail software Step 1 - Address an email to the recipient's mobile phone number, then type the Streetdata suffix.
NNNNNNNNNN represents the recipient's mobile phone number. Note: The "TO:" line can take multiple addresses and/or grouped addresses. Step 2 -For individual users and remote from office sending only.
e.g SUBJECT: 501+Password Step 3 - In the text box, type your message. Messages can be up to 160 characters. All text beyond the 160 characters limit will be silently discarded.
e.g TEXT: Hi John, the meeting at 2.00 is being held in the main conference room. See you there. Regards Ron Step 4 - Send the email - The message will
arrive at the mobile phone in around 20 seconds. For better results - tips and hints: Configure your e-mail program to send messages as "text only" or "plain text", the format used by the SMS standards. Although the Streetdata Messaging Gateway is capable of converting rich-text messages to SMS-ready text, using text-only formatting in your program will give you a better control of the SMS output. Be aware that many phones are unable to display special characters such as _ # { } etc. Use alphabet characters, digits and common punctuation which are properly displayed by all phones.See also:
