Anyone with a SMS capable mobile phone can send FREE e-mail messages from their handset using Streetdata's SMS gateway. The service does not require registration and can be set up in seconds. Just follow these instructions:

Store the Streetdata gateway access number in your mobile's phonebook: +64221061437. Call this number Email or something easy to remember. This only needs to be done once. The phone will now be ready to send e-mail messages via SMS.
To send a message, follow steps 1-6 below

Step 1 - Advance to the Write a message area (or equivalent) on your Mobile handset.

Step 2 - Type the recipient's e-mail address.

Step 3 - Leave an empty space after you have typed the e-mail address.

Step 4 - Type your message.

Step 5 - Press Send, then select the Email address (Streetdata's number) from your phonebook.

Step 6 - Send the message.

Streetdata will forward the e-mail free of charge*. If the recipient is a registered Streetdata user, he/she will be able to reply directly to your mobile phone. Try it out yourself!
